10 week dating scan - Updating mythbuntu

name=pvr-mythbuntu1204-to-1404 Regards, Curtis Thanks Curtis,  I'll read both of those. The elements I've had trouble with earlier have been my Imon lcd panel and IR receiver - now also using a newer Harmony remote, that seems not to send such clear keystrokes as my earlier model and an early apple bluetooth keyboard, connecting through a re-flashed D-Link DBT-120. After quite a struggle I ended up purging most of what I had done and in the end the thing just worked ---up to a point -- out of the box.I was thinking of performing a fresh install of the latest ubuntu (flavour?

updating mythbuntu-42

14.04 is there but there will not be ISO's for 16.04 LTS and on, so I thought that, since we're nearly at 16.04 anyway it might be better to go for the latest non-LTS release and continue from there, just adding the packages to a vanilla or light Ubuntu desktop, rather than having to upgrade from 14.04.

ISO file from Mythbuntu 14.04.2 then using SDC to create a bootable USB is the easiest. --Marius-- Â Hi Marius, If it helps, I wrote tutorials on installing Mythbuntu 14.04 and also migrating from Mythbuntu 12.04 to 14.04. name=pvr-install-mythbuntu1404 Migrating Mythbuntu 12.04 to Mythbuntu 14.04

Other than that, the only challenge is likely to be upgrading mythconverg. Other than that, the only challenge is likely to be upgrading mythconverg. I recently got a Harmony IR remote working on Mythbuntu 14.04.  I think the main problem is with the combination of newer harmony and imon receiver.

From my old harmony (can't remember the number) the codes came through loud and clear, but the Harmony touch I have now just doesn't seem to manage as well (despite Logitech trying to sort it out), and dmesg floods with unrecognised keystrokes on certain keys -- EXIT for example is always sticky...sometijmes it's recognised and sometimes not and I have to keep pressed for several seconds, before Myth TV suddenly jumps back several steps and I have to start again.

You pretty much go thru the MCC as part of the install. If I didn’t have to install firmware for my Hauppauge 2250, I could so it all in a few minutes. Not sure why you think there won't. --Thomas Mashos Thanks Jim/Thomas,  Looks like 14.04 is the way to go then, especially if 16.04 will be released as an official upgrade. name=pvr-mythbuntu1204-to-1404 Regards, Curtis _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] Myth TV Forums: https://forum.wrote:  Hi Marius, If it helps, I wrote tutorials on installing Mythbuntu 14.04 and also migrating from Mythbuntu 12.04 to 14.04. name=pvr-install-mythbuntu1404 Migrating Mythbuntu 12.04 to Mythbuntu 14.04
