She started the second half of the 2000s with the lead role in “Container” (2006), and “Lying” the same year, moving on to “The Ruins” (2008), and in 2009 she featured in the film “The Messenger” with Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson.
She became even busier in the present decade, which she began with an appearance in the film “5 Star Day”, and then had the role in “Sucker Punch” (2011), starring Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgens.
Thanks to her skills, Jena has received several prestigious nominations and awards, including a Golden Globe nomination in the category Best Performance by an Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television for her work on “Hope” (1997), and she also received a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor/Actress in the film “Contact” (1997).
Furthermore, she has three Young Artist Awards in her collection, for films “Stepmom” (1998), “Ellen Foster” (1997), and ‘Bastard Out Of Carolina” (1996).
Jena was inspired by her mother, who worked for community theatre to become an actress.
